By Albert Mpofu.
Yesterday, there was an incident on the social media site Twitter involving online thugs and propagandists associated with ZANU PF. They attempted to manipulate the message from UFI Church Leader Prophet Makandiwa.
According to a video posted by Honorable Jealousy Mawararire , the prophet never predicted a ZANU PF victory in the upcoming August 23 election. Instead, he mentioned that he already knew the election results and did not encourage his followers to vote for any political party. Church members should use their conscience when choosing a Presidential candidate who fears God, respects human rights, and is not corrupt.
ZANU PF is eager to secure endorsements from various religious leaders. They are well aware that Prophet Makandiwa commands a following in the Harare Metropolitan Province, which is why they attempted to twist the prophet’s message to their advantage.
Many opposition figures were outraged by the spread of this fake news by pro-ZANU PF social media thugs. Even CCC top official and former Vice Prime Minister Honorable Khupe was fooled into sharing the fake news on Twitter. She deleted her post once she realized that it was all fake.
Prophet Makandiwa is a renowned prophet known for accurate prophecies. He accurately predicted the origin and outbreak of the COVID-19 virus three years before it was discovered. Experts confirmed that the virus did indeed originate from the Chinese province of Wuhan, just as the prophet had predicted.
It is because of such accurate prophecies that these pro-ZANU PF social media thugs are desperate for his endorsement, which is why they tried to twist Makandiwa’s message.
However, the majority of observers predict a victory for Chamisa against the incumbent, even though the playing field is not level. It is predicted that Chamisa will triumph with over 65% of the votes. His message focuses on restoring the broken nation of Zimbabwe.
Election season is very crazy, if not funny. The propaganda is quite hilarious. I was physically in that service, @prmakandiwa mentioned no political party by name, yet the 'creative' within Zanu-PF have latched on to the undisclosed prophecy & made it about their party winning… pic.twitter.com/Ja73CzNuAM
