Former ZINASU secretary of legal affairs Archford Mudzengi’s Burial tomorrow in Nemamwa, Masvingo

Wezhira Munya – Change Radio It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Archford Mudzengi, a devoted member of the opposition youth in Masvingo and the former Secretary of Legal Affairs for the Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU). His burial will take place tomorrow at the Nemamwa Cemetery in Masvingo, with the service scheduled to begin at 10 AM. Archford died in Harare on 28th December 2025 at a private hospital. He left his wife and two children. Today, a memorial service was held at the Nyaradzo Funeral Parlour in Masvingo City, drawing hundreds of family members, friends, and community members who gathered to pay their last respects to Archford. The atmosphere was charged with emotion as heartfelt tributes were shared, showcasing the profound impact he had on the lives of those around him and the community at large. Archford’s body will rest at his family home today, creating an intimate space for close friends and relatives to gather and celebrate his life. Archford passed away on December 28, 2025, at Arundel Hospital in Harare after struggling with illness for some time. Archford popularly know as Papa Archie, originally from the rural areas of Nemamwa in the Masvingo West constituency, leaves behind his beloved wife and two children. His health had been deteriorating, leading to his initial admission to a private hospital in Masvingo Urban a few weeks prior to his death. Despite efforts to treat him, he was later transferred to Harare, where he ultimately succumbed to his illness around 8 PM (today, 28th December 2025).
