CCC national women taskforce leader honourable Mukwada resigns from the CCC party
25th January 2024 Wezhira Munya Hon. Monica Mukwada, the dedicated former leader of the National Women Taskforce of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has officially resigned from the CCC party. In a show of solidarity and support for President Nelson Chamisa, who also left the CCC today, Hon. Mukwada announced her departure from the party. Speaking to Change Radio, Hon. Mukwada stated, “I am resigning immediately as the CCC National Women Taskforce organizer. My decision to leave the CCC stems from President Chamisa’s departure and the fact that the CCC, under Tshabangu’s leadership, has become a proxy for Zanu PF.” Sengezo Tshabangu, the interim Secretary General of the CCC, is accused of colluding with Zanu PF and is considered by Mukwada to be an impostor within the CCC. Through legal maneuvers and with the support of Zanu PF, Tshabangu has orchestrated the recall of President Chamisa’s parliamentarians and councilors. Unfortunately, Hon. Mukwada has also fallen victim to Tshabangu’s recalls due to her unwavering support for President Chamisa’s capable leadership. Hon. Mukwada’s exceptional charisma, hard work, and ability to address national issues led to her appointment as the CCC National Women Coordinator by President Chamisa.
