The legal battle was won again by CCC’s Mkoba South aspiring candidate, John Kuka, who stood accused with his two friends in the picture. The trio were arrested for a case that never occurred in Mkoba a day before the election in March 2022. The complainant, who was contesting under Zanu as a candidate for Mkoba, Mr Gondo, reported the trio, accusing them of unlawfully entering his residence in Mkoba and threatening to beat up his wife,mother, and all who were in as they sang CCC songs and threw flyers. Mrs. Banda discharged the trio due to a lack of evidence by both investigating officer and the complainant, who stood as state witnesses.
