Dr Felix Mafa Sibanda has reacted to the recent puzzle of two Mafikizolo members, Tungwarara and Tagwirei, in Zanu PF factional politics as a “well-thought-out puzzle” designed to deceive the public and opposition parties.
“Maneuvering is not new to Zanu PF,” Dr Sibanda said, drawing parallels with the tactics employed by the late Robert Mugabe to maintain unity within Zanu Pf.
“RG Mugabe created seemingly two factions, one led by former VP Joice Mujuru and the other by former VP ED Mnangagwa, to benefit him. ED Mnangagwa is applying the same tactics, fooling both Zanu PF and the public,” Dr Sibanda explained.
He warned that the apparent infighting within Zanu PF is “stage-managed” to confuse even diehard party members and “mediocre and below-average politicians” across the board.
“There’s nothing new here, stay warned,” Dr Sibanda cautioned.
