Hon. Monica Mukwada, the dedicated former leader of the National Women Taskforce of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), has officially resigned from the CCC party.
In a show of solidarity and support for President Nelson Chamisa, who also left the CCC today, Hon. Mukwada announced her departure from the party. Speaking to Change Radio, Hon. Mukwada stated, “I am resigning immediately as the CCC National Women Taskforce organizer. My decision to leave the CCC stems from President Chamisa’s departure and the fact that the CCC, under Tshabangu’s leadership, has become a proxy for Zanu PF.”
Sengezo Tshabangu, the interim Secretary General of the CCC, is accused of colluding with Zanu PF and is considered by Mukwada to be an impostor within the CCC.
Through legal maneuvers and with the support of Zanu PF, Tshabangu has orchestrated the recall of President Chamisa’s parliamentarians and councilors. Unfortunately, Hon. Mukwada has also fallen victim to Tshabangu’s recalls due to her unwavering support for President Chamisa’s capable leadership.
Hon. Mukwada’s exceptional charisma, hard work, and ability to address national issues led to her appointment as the CCC National Women Coordinator by President Chamisa.
During her tenure as the leader of the CCC National Women Taskforce, Hon. Mukwada successfully mobilized women in urban, rural, and marginalized communities to rally behind President Chamisa and the CCC party.
Under her guidance, the CCC Women’s Assembly experienced a substantial increase in membership.
In the 2023 elections, many women voted for President Chamisa after Hon. Mukwada and other CCC women leaders effectively mobilized support for him.
Furthermore, former CCC party spokesperson, Advocate Fadzayi Mahere, has expressed her endorsement of President Chamisa’s decision to leave the CCC. She expressed her support for President Chamisa and the new party he plans to establish on her Twitter account.
Additionally, millions of Zimbabweans have pledged their loyalty and support to President Chamisa’s new party and his choice to distance himself from the CCC, which has been infiltrated by Zanu PF and Tshabangu.
Former CCC WhatsApp groups have undergone a change, with the removal of CCC names and yellow colors, and the introduction of a new blue color.
Zimbabweans eagerly await President Chamisa’s announcement regarding his new party, its ideology, vision, and strategies to challenge Zanu PF and improve the lives of the people.
