CCC Mayor of Masvingo, speaking to Change Radio, Ms. Shantel Chiwara, said, “Nothing will stop me from serving the people of my hometown.” Chiwara stated that she does not recognize the self-imposed interim Secretary-General, Sengezo Tshabangu.
She also emphasized that it is clear that those who recalled her are against women’s participation in politics. The CCC has declared that the recalls of their representatives by the imposter, Sengezo Tshabangu, are a ploy by ZANU PF to divert attention from their efforts to speak out against stolen elections.
The party has asserted that ZANU PF is attempting to shift focus away from the citizens’ call for fresh polls. Earlier this week, in an interview, President Nelson Chamisa stated that those in the ZANU PF know that they did not win the elections, which is why they are plotting to punish Triple C through recalls.
