Pupurai Togarepi’s terror group member, who led abductions and assaults of CCC supporters on the day when CCC presidential candidate Nelson Chamisa visited Maungwa business center in July, left a 10-minute voiceprint, regretting being used by unidentified elders.
He mentioned community leaders, including Chief Maungwa and Gutu South MP Pupurai Togarepi.
He also said he has been persecuted by unspecified forces, which he said ZanuPF Mr. Mudukuti knows about.
The issue that led to him taking his life seems to be politically motivated, while at the same time, he blames his own family for not counseling him in a better way that would have avoided suicide.
The family grievances date back to 1992 when he said that his brothers neglected him, as they refused to pay for his exam fees, leading to him failing to take high school final exams.
Gutu South was the most violent constituency in Masvingo Province during the 2023 harmonized elections.
