A Zimbabwean scientist, Freeman Chari, has announced that out of 210 constituencies, CCC presidential candidate Adv. Nelson Chamisa received 1,788,382 votes, putting him ahead of ZanuPF’s Emerson Mnangagwa, who has 1,769,592 votes in 179 constituencies. Mr. Chari said there’s hope that President Nelson Chamisa won the popular vote: “We have about 31 outstanding constituencies which, however, do not show a major shift from the other trends. We hope to continue the process until done.”

1. I was hoping that by now Zimbabwe Electoral Commision (ZEC) would have released a spreadsheet with their votes by polling stations. First things first, we believe ZEC plucked numbers out of thin air. This is how our parallel tabulation looks like as of now. We have been feeding V11s into our system

2. The green ones are done constituencies won by Mnangagwa, the yellow ones were won by Chamisa. The white ones are not yet done most with V11 we are still transcribing. For all the done ones Chamisa – 1 788 382 Mnangagwa – 1 769 592
3. We are continuing to collate as some of the V11s were in boxes and took long to be transported. We also did not budget for the bad picture quality we got in some of them. This forced us to manually enter them.
4. We also had to verify the results that were coming through our alternative communication systems that we set up in rural areas. We have about 31 outstanding constituencies which however do not show major shift from the other trends. We hope to continue the process until done
5. I also promised that after election I wld open source our communication system. The technology is called Meshtastic. Over the past 2 yrs we have deployed solar powered-repeaters on 72 mountains in Zimbabwe. meshtastic.org

6. These long range Lora devices can communicate upwards of 200km. We configured the repeaters so that anyone with these $17 transmitters can communicate. If you are in Mzarabani you can text someone in Bindura as long as they have a receiver. I will release channel specs later

7. I am not here to give a way forward, I will leave that to politicians. Our teams are going to continue with the data capture process. I wanna thank Mazizi for all the support & the CredibleVote team that worked for over 2 years with little resources on this.
8. I do however believe that subverting the will of the people should come at a cost. Ndatenda!
9. I would like to add that Meshtastic system is not illegal before madzvinyangwe get excited. They operate at 915MHz which is an unregulated frequency used mainly for Internet of Things. For Chimanimani, I hope you can use it as a disaster communication system during Cyclone emergencies…. Hikers can use it too.
