Yesterday, Zaka police disrupted President Nelson Chamisa’s campaign rally at Jerera growth point.
President Chamisa was forced to address CCC supporters while in the truck after Zanu-PF members removed and damaged the podium.

In the video, Honorable Amos Chibaya is seen negotiating with a senior police officer who was moving towards where President Chamisa was speaking. The police officer then decided to go to a truck full of police officers to consult on the next action.
The police in Zaka had cleared this rally to start from 10 am to 12 pm.
President Nelson Chamisa started addressing CCC supporters at 11:30 am.
At 11:47 am, a senior police officer (whose name the writer could not establish) came near the podium where President Chamisa was speaking, intending to stop him from addressing the crowd.
President Chamisa implored the police to treat CCC fairly and allow them to campaign.
The Zaka CCC members, including Zaka Central aspiring member of parliament candidate Mr. Peter Imbayarwo, negotiated with the police to let President Nelson Chamisa finish his speech.
But the police officer did not allow President Chamisa to finish his speech.
Near the rally (about 15 meters from where President Chamisa was speaking), there was a police truck full of armed police officers.
At 11:50 am, President Chamisa abruptly stopped his speech.
The senior police officer switched off the generator that was being used by CCC to power the PA system.
After switching off the generator, the police dispersed CCC members from the venue.
Zaka North CC aspiring member of parliament Mr. Munyaradzi Zanga said it is unfortunate that police officers in Zaka are acting in a partisan manner. They allow Zanu-PF members to campaign freely without police clearance.
In addition, CCC national organizer Honorable Amos Chibaya successfully managed to control the crowd and maintain peace.
Speaking to journalists after the Zaka rally, Honorable Chibaya criticized the police actions of stopping President Chamisa in the middle of his campaign speech.
CCC member Ms. Evelyn Masaiti, who attended the Zaka rally, stated that President Chamisa should be allowed to campaign freely.
