The delimitation process conducted by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) for the upcoming 2023 national elections has resulted in confusion and chaos for certain voters. This is primarily due to the division of residential areas, leading to changes in polling station locations.

Change Radio strongly urges affected voters to thoroughly check their names during the voter’s inspection process. This will help them determine their designated voting polling station and avoid potential time wastage on election day when they may be informed that their names are not listed at their usual voting location.

One specific example is the division of Kambuzuma, previously Ward 14, into six sections. Sections 2 and part of Section 3 have been attached to Ward 13, while Section 1, part of Section 3, and Sections 4, 5, and 6 remain in Ward 14. Consequently, polling stations such as Wadzanai Primary School, Kambuzuma High School 1, and Rukudzo Primary School, which were previously in Sections 2 and 3, now fall under Ward 13.

Change Radio appeals to voters in Ward 14 who have been voting at Rukudzo Primary School, Wadzanai Primary School, and Kambuzuma High 1 to participate in the voter’s inspection to ensure they are aware of the precise location where their names are registered, thereby avoiding any inconvenience or confusion on the actual election day.
