Honorable Gift Ostallos Siziba, a trusted lieutenant of President Nelson Chamisa, is currently in Chicago, America, attending the 2024 Democracy Forum. This forum gathers leaders and democratic advocates from around the world to discuss and promote the principles of pluralism.
Hon. Siziba, a youthful former member of parliament, was recalled by Zanu PF proxies led by Sengezo Tshabangu. His recall stemmed from his role as the deputy spokesperson for President Chamisa’s party, his staunch criticism of Zanu PF, and his defense of President Chamisa across various platforms, both locally and internationally.
As President Chamisa prepares to re-enter Zimbabwe’s political landscape, the international and local engagements by pro-Chamisa leaders like Hon. Siziba signal readiness among Zimbabweans and the global community to welcome the President and his new party.
Speaking to Change Radio, Hon. Siziba stated, “We have arrived in Chicago for the 2024 Democracy Forum! This year’s gathering brings together leaders from around the world and democratic champions to explore the power of pluralism.” This quotation underscores the importance of pluralism in democracy, highlighting that diverse perspectives and collaborative efforts are essential for addressing contemporary challenges.
Hon. Siziba has participated in numerous high-profile meetings, including engagements with the Obama Foundation and serving as an election observer in South Africa, Namibia, and other countries. He is a sought-after political commentator and analyst, known for his deep understanding of both Zimbabwean and global politics.
