Yesterday, the Citizens Coalition for Change [CCC] President, Nelson Chamisa, addressed three highly subscribed rallies. These rallies took place at Chachacha Business Centre in Shurungwi (rural area), Mandamabwe Business Centre – Chivi (rural constituency), and Zvishavane Urban.

This article focuses on the CCC Chachacha rally that commenced at 10 am.

At Chachacha Business Centre, President Nelson Chamisa addressed more than 7,000 supporters.

History was made, as this rally attendance figure broke the previous record for opposition party members gathering in rural Chachacha since independence.

Chachacha rural constituency was turned into a sea of yellow as thousands of CCC supporters gathered to hear their President. This impressive turnout in rural areas shows that President Chamisa has penetrated the once Zanu PF-dominated region.

Zanu-PF members in Chachacha attempted to intimidate CCC members and discourage them from attending this rally, but CCC members resisted the intimidation.

Moreover, there were many police roadblocks leading to the venue where President Chamisa was addressing the rally.

President Chamisa promised title deeds to the resettled citizens and pledged support for their agricultural activities.

Additionally, President Chamisa promised to revive mining areas in the Midlands province.

Furthermore, he assured the crowd that his government would revive the economy and pay workers in United States Dollars.

He encouraged citizens to vote in large numbers during the harmonized elections on 23rd August 2023.

According to President Chamisa, citizens should vote for the CCC President, Members of Parliament, and Councillors.

He later introduced CCC candidates to the citizens.
