As the year 2025 comes to a close, residents of Zengeza West are praising their Member of Parliament, Hon. Innocent Zvaipa, for his tireless efforts in addressing their needs. During a recent tour of the constituency, residents commented Hon. Zvaipa who distributed food hampers this festive season, to over 200 people, with more than 40 people benefiting in each of the 5 wards.
Using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Hon. Zvaipa has also undertaken several development projects, including the construction of a state-of-the-art durawall at Zengeza Clinic, which spans almost 200m long and 1.8m high. Additionally, a 6.2kv solar installation has been completed at the clinic, providing reliable power supply. Zengeza 5 primary school has also benefited from the CDF, with the installation of a solar system.
However, despite these achievements, residents have highlighted several challenges facing the constituency, including dilapidated road networks, sewage problems, school dropouts due to poverty, and an increased crime rate, including murder cases.
Zengeza West constituents expressed frustration with the challenges their MP faces in engaging with them, citing difficulties in getting police approval for feedback meetings. Despite this, they said Hon. Zvaipa has adopted a strategic approach, attending council-organized meetings to connect with them and address their concerns.
Residents are hopeful that 2025 challenges will be addressed in the new year, building on the progress made in 2025.
