President Nelson Chamisa breaks his silence on his next political move yesterday at the memorial service of his late uncle Chomunorwa Chamisa in ward 23, Gutu South . Mr Chomunorwa was born on 8th October 1967 and died on the 21st November 2023.
President Chamisa described his late uncle Chomunorwa as a brother, a man of wisdom, a caring man and narrated that they stayed together in Pangolin in Masvingo , Zimbabwe.
The youth led by vibrant youth leader hon.Takudzwa Ngadziore led youth and Madzibaba eshanduko Godfrey Karembera to sing many songs before President Chamisa delivered his speech. As the best master of ceremonies former Norton deputy Mayor Emmanuel Chikaponya led the memorial service with distinction.
Then President Chamisa informed the highly subscribed memorial service, that, “I am still active in politics: we are going to form a powerful ‘Cyclone’ citizen-centered movement.”
President Chamisa’s announcement about his next political move has effectively dispelled rumors that he had quit politics. In a bold statement, he reaffirmed his commitment to leading Citizens and championing the interests of the Zimbabwean people.President Chamisa’s declaration not only counters misleading narratives but also highlights his strategic focus. President Chamisa called for unity and resilience among Citizens, emphasizing key issues like economic recovery, social justice, and democratic reforms. This proactive approach is essential in mobilizing citizens who are eager for change. Furthermore, President Chamisa’s active role in the political landscape reflects a renewed energy within Citizens. His leadership and vision are crucial for inspiring a new generation of Citizens committed to democratic governance. As the political climate continues to evolve, his influence will be vital in shaping the future of Zimbabwean politics.
President Chamisa asked the attendees if they will be part of this great movement and they responded by saying they will be party of this might movement.
President Chamisa spoke about solutions to mitigate socio-economic challenges. Furthermore, President Chamisa castigated the police for arresting Hon. Senator James Timba, Hon. Amos Chibaya among others and called for their immediate release.
Since President Chamisa left the contaminated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) after Zanu PF proxies including fake Secretary-general Sengezo Tshabangu hijacked the party, many people kept speculating about President Chamisa’s next move.
But yesterday, President Chamisa unveiled that, he is planing to introduce one of the most formidable Citizen centred movement that, will defeat Zanu PF and other small parties in Zimbabwe.
He said, this new trajectory will be like a “Greatest Cyclone” that is unstoppable and that will be Greater than CCC, MDC T, MDC Alliance and other party formations that he was in.
The memorial service was attended by thousands of family members, relatives and Citizens. The attendees of this well organised memorial service came from as far as America, Britain, South Africa, Matabeleland, Manicaland, Harare, Midlands, Mashonaland and other areas.
Interestingly, around 96% of current mayors, councillors, members of parliament, senators and provincial councillor members and 99% of all Tshabangu induced recalled councillors, senators and member of parliament from all council and constituencies in Zimbabwe attended yesterday’s memorial service.
All of them confirmed their loyalty and allegiance to President Chamisa.

The high attendance of current and recalled councillors and members of parliament attest that, Tshabangu and Professor Welshman Ncube have lost the grip of parliamentarians and councillors as also Zimbabweans have shunned them.
President Chamisa also praised the vital work that journalists in Zimbabwe are doing to expose corruption and to inform citizens about citizen-centered alternatives. He emphasized the role of the media as a cornerstone of democracy, highlighting their commitment to truth and transparency in a challenging environment.
In a show of force, the police established numerous roadblocks on the roads leading to President Chamisa’s homestead. One vehicle carrying citizens who were en route to a memorial service was detained by the police but was later released. The heavy police presence, along with other security agents, created an atmosphere of tension and surveillance. Notably, some of these security personnel attended the memorial service, ostensibly to monitor the event, while also listening to President Chamisa’s address. Despite the intimidating presence of law enforcement, citizens gathered to celebrate the life of uncle Chomunorwa.
