Today, the Bikita West Security agent identified as Tino and five Forever Associates of Zimbabwe [FAZ] members besieged CCC sitting councillor of Ward 30, Bikita West, Mr. Trust Zinyama, at his house.
The above-mentioned security agents and FAZ members besieged Councillor Mr. Zinyama’s house after they chased him while he was putting up President Nelson Chamisa and his campaign posters.
Narrating his ordeal at the hands of FAZ and security agents, Councillor Zinyama said, “FAZ members and security agent [CIO] Tino threatened me with death and nearly beat me up. I had to run to my house. They followed me and besieged my house.”
Commenting on this issue, CCC Masvingo urban-based member Mr. Struggle Nyahunda writes on his Twitter, “We are advised that Ward 30 Bikita West Councillor Zinyama Trust is under siege at his house. The Bikita CIO, led by Tino in the company of 5 other FAZ thugs, is currently at his house. This is an antithesis to free and fair elections in our motherland.”
The security agent and FAZ members left his house [Councillor Zinyama] after kidnapping CCC Ward 30 youth member Mr. Godknows Jaison.
Jaison was also part of the CCC team that was putting up campaign posters in Bikita West today.
Jaison was taken to an unknown destination by FAZ members and security agent Tino.
He was harassed, detained, and tortured.
After FAZ and security agent Tino left Councillor Zinyama’s place, Councillor Zinyama managed to report the case of abduction of Mr. Jaison to the police.
Police refused to open an abduction case [docket] against FAZ members and security agent Tino.
FAZ members and Tino brought Jaison to the police station after police officers phoned them.
Police released Mr. Jaison.
Explaining his persecution by FAZ and security agent, Mr. Jaison said, “The FAZ members took me to an unknown destination. They poured cold water on my body and verbally insulted me. They told me to dissociate myself from President Chamisa and the CCC party. In addition, they told me never to campaign for CCC or I will die.”
Mr. Jaison further said he is traumatized by FAZ members and Tino’s actions.
The persecution of CCC members is escalating as harmonized elections draw nearer.
