Yesterday, Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) President Nelson Chamisa addressed his second rally in the Chirumanzu South, a rural constituency.

The Chirumanzu CCC rally was attended by over 30,000 rural citizens. These citizens were not bused or lorried, and not frog-marched to the venue.

Chirumanzu CCC South aspiring member of parliament, Mr. Patrick Cheza, commented that, “Today, citizens in Chirumanzu constituency came in their large numbers to hear the message of hope from President Nelson Chamisa as the harmonized elections draw near. Chirumanzu will vote for President Chamisa and all CCC candidates. We are going to win these elections resoundingly.”

Two months ago, sensing great defeat, Zanu PF and Forever Associates of Zimbabwe [FAZ] in Chirumanzu South caused the arrest of Chirumanzu South CCC aspiring member of parliament, Mr. Cheza, and other CCC members on trumped-up charges.

Hon. Cheza is currently on bail after his lawyer, Advocate Martin Mureri, successfully applied for bail.

This [CCC Chirumanzu rally] is among the biggest rural gatherings by an opposition party post-independence in this area.

The rally was held in Chirumanzu South.

CCC Chirumanzu, led by President Chamisa, broke history in terms of attendance.

Commenting on the outstanding attendance in Chirumanzu, CCC spokesperson Advocate Fadzayi Mahere writes on her Twitter, “Chirumanzu Roars. Thank you, Chirumanzu, for embracing our message of hope and transformation.”

In expressing his great appreciation for the high rally attendance of CCC members in Chirumanzu, President Chamisa said, “Then we did Charandura in Chirumanzu South… A new Great Zimbabwe is loading for everyone.”

President Chamisa delivered a powerful message with the following key points: economic development, political stability, the best health system, high employment, the best education system, payment of salaries and pensions in US Dollars, and title deeds to resettled farmers, among others.
