… Despite Zanu PF giving mealie meal to citizens in Masvingo Central a few meters away from CCC rally.
Citizens Coalition for Change [CCC] President Nelson’s campaign trail gathers momentum in rural areas.
The rally started at 10 am.
Yesterday, President Chamisa addressed over 15,000 rural citizens at Muchakata Business Centre, Masvingo Central.
Interestingly, this rally was held about 40 meters from Muchakata police station; police did not fire tear gas as happened in Rutenga [Mwenezi] and Ngundu [Chivi South] CCC rallies.
In Rutenga, Mwenezi, and Ngundu Chivi South, police used tear gas to disperse CCC members who had gathered in their thousands to hear President Chamisa.

Despite tear gas being fired at them, the resolute rural citizens waited for President Chamisa and heard him speaking.
To ensure that Masvingo Central citizens do not attend CCC rally, Mr Zvobgo Junior, a Zanu PF Masvingo Central aspiring candidate, gave 5 kg of meal mealie to citizens at different wards.
The Masvingo Central citizens took Zvobgo’s mealie meal and later attended the CCC rally.
At the Muchakata rally, President Chamisa informed the citizens that his government will: give title deeds to resettled farmers, provide free primary education, offer affordable secondary and tertiary education, pay civil servants and pensioners in United States Dollars, create a corruption-free country, and provide affordable and top-notch health facilities, among other promises.
Before he left the podium, President Chamisa introduced aspiring candidates: Advocate Moses Mavhaire [Masvingo Central], Mr Pedzisai Gasva [Masvingo West], Madzivire [Masvingo North], and Advocate Mabvuure [Masvingo South].
In addition, President Chamisa introduced CCC aspiring councillors to citizens.
While introducing CCC party candidates, President Chamisa said, “I implore you, citizens, to vote for CCC presidential, parliamentary, and council candidates on 23rd August 2023. Go and vote big, win big, and protect the vote.”
Before President Chamisa addressed thousands of citizens at Muchakata Business Centre, he had meetings with key stakeholders in Masvingo Province.
