Today the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party made its presence known in Bulawayo. Leading the charge were Honourable Jasmine Toffa, Member of Parliament for Bulawayo Metropolitan, Honourable Nicola Watson representing Bulawayo Central, Gift Ostallos Siziba, the party’s Deputy National Spokesperson and other CCC officials. They took to the streets, distributing party information booklets to residents, outlining the party’s values, formation, and promises for a new government.
The campaign received a warm reception from citizens, with Siziba expressing his gratitude on social media. He stated, “Today, we spent our day with compatriots in the beautiful City of Kings, spreading the message of Change. The message of Hope – A new Great Zimbabwe Message.”
The upcoming elections hold immense significance, as they are perceived as a make-or-break moment for the ruling ZANU-PF government led by President Mnangagwa. The party has faced severe criticism for its alleged corruption and incompetence, which have resulted in a struggling economy plagued by hyperinflation. Furthermore, President Mnangagwa and his family have been embroiled in corruption scandals, adding to the frustration felt by citizens.
The CCC has emerged as a beacon of hope for those seeking an end to the 43 years of suffering under ZANU-PF’s rule. Notably, even some ZANU-PF supporters have pledged their support to the opposition party, CCC, in an effort to bring about much-needed change.
CCC promises a fresh start for Zimbabwe. The party aims to address the rampant corruption, revitalize the economy, and uplift the lives of citizens who have endured hardships for far too long. As the elections draw closer, all eyes will be on the CCC and their vision for a prosperous and inclusive Zimbabwe.
