While Fearless Madzibaba VeShanduko Leads Voter Registration Drive in Guruve South
In the face of mounting intimidation tactics employed by ZANU PF, the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) Youth Taskforce has emerged as a beacon of hope, urging Zimbabwean citizens not to cower but to exercise their democratic rights fearlessly. The Youth Taskforce’s spokesperson, Stephen Chuma, delivered a powerful message, emphasizing that the citizens’ votes hold the key to combating poverty and securing a brighter future for the nation.
Under the banner of their campaign, “Register Elect And Protect (REAP),” the CCC Youth Taskforce has taken on the responsibility of educating and mobilizing the youth on the importance of active participation in the electoral process. Chuma stressed that citizens must register to vote, diligently elect their preferred candidates on voting day, and protect the integrity of the vote by remaining vigilant at polling stations until the vote results are publicly posted.
One of the main driving forces behind this grassroots movement is Godfrey Karembera, a revered CCC activist known affectionately as Madzibaba Veshanduko. Despite facing threats of eviction in the Guruve South area, Madzibaba Veshanduko and his dedicated team are tirelessly working to ensure that villagers verify their voter registration details during the ongoing voters roll inspection. Their unwavering determination stems from their belief that the victory of CCC’s President, Nelson Chamisa, in the upcoming general elections is crucial for the nation’s progress and transformation.
Chuma, in his impassioned plea to the nation, highlighted the palpable fear gripping ZANU PF, attributing it to their mismanagement of the economy. The Zimbabwean dollar’s constant devaluation and the skyrocketing prices of basic commodities have left the population grappling with hardship. Recognizing the power of the vote, Chuma urged citizens to stand up against these economic challenges and use their ballots as a formidable tool to demand change and accountability.
The CCC Youth Taskforce’s message has resonated deeply among Zimbabwean citizens, particularly the youth, who have longed for a brighter future. They refuse to be silenced by intimidation or undermined by the status quo. The sheer determination exhibited by Madzibaba Veshanduko and countless others rallying their communities speaks volumes about their unwavering belief in the power of democracy.
As the nation gears up for the upcoming general elections, the voices of the CCC Youth Taskforce, represented by Stephen Chuma, and the fearless efforts of Madzibaba Veshanduko and his team, are becoming a powerful force for change. Their collective efforts are reminding Zimbabweans that their votes hold immeasurable strength, capable of reshaping their lives and the trajectory of the nation.
