It’s only a few hours left before nominated CCC candidates present orally their manifestos to Citizens.

Tomorrow, the CCC will hold candidate selection stage 3, dubbed the “Citizens Caucuses.

Caucuses start at 10 a.m. across the province.

In Masvingo, all venues have been cleared by police after advocate Martin Mureri and Masvingo Provincial Administrator Mr. Mandi Matutu informed the police. Candidates will present their manifestos, and Citizens will ask questions. Each candidate is given 10 minutes to present his or her manifesto.

Candidates and Citizens should be guided by the following rules:

1. Punctuality: present your manifesto within 10 minutes or less.

2. No booing, ululating, use of vulgar language, or violence. Candidates will be disqualified if their supporters engage in the above acts.

3. Candidates must listen to commissioners. Commissioners have the power to disqualify and make decisions.

4. Citizens will be given the opportunity to give input on who the best three candidates are.

5. Party security will be on high alert, as there are intelligent reports that Zanu-PF members want to disrupt CCC caucuses tomorrow. As to taint the image of the party.

6. If the candidates or Citizens have issues, they should respectfully engage the commissioners. No violent conduct will be tolerated.

6. No one should bring the name of the party into disrepute. Hon. Chibaya said that whoever engages in any act that causes violence will be fired from the party.

7. Only councillors and members of parliament will present their manifestos as per The Citizens Caucus notice issued today by CCC Bureau of Elections.

8. Candidates should be presentable.

9. Today, all Commissioners and other persons responsible for conducting tomorrow’s process have been adequately trained across Masvingo Province by experts.

10. No drinking of alcohol  at the venue. Alcohol consumption is a serious offense.
