Yesterday, 1 July 2023, the Citizens Coalition for Change, led by President Nelson Chamisa, made a significant impact during their door-to-door campaign in urban Ward 1 of Hurungwe Central. The aspiring candidate for this ward, Tichaona Mungwariri, was joined by influential figures such as Abigail Usai, who aspires to be the Mashonaland West Senator, John Least Musariri, a vibrant youth quota candidate for Mashonaland West, and Christopher Musochi, the aspiring Hurungwe Central Member of Parliament. The residents of Ward 1 responded enthusiastically, expressing their fatigue with the ruling party, ZANU PF.
Councillor Tichaona Mungwariri received a warm welcome from the residents of Ward 1, who have high hopes for positive change. Mungwariri outlined his commitment to improving the ward by prioritizing service delivery and addressing key issues like garbage collection, creating a healthier environment for all. His brilliant manifesto resonated with the residents, promising a better future and the fulfillment of their needs and aspirations.
These successful campaign efforts have significantly bolstered the prospects of Nelson Chamisa and his party, the Citizens Coalition for Change, in the upcoming elections on 23 August. The overwhelming support shown by the residents of Ward 1 reflects a growing sentiment throughout the constituency, indicating a strong likelihood of a resounding victory for Chamisa and his party.
