In a heartwarming display of kindness and generosity, Hon. Lovemore Jimu, MP for Harare Central Constituency, distributed food hampers to over 300 elderly and people living with disabilities at Kambuzuma Section 2 Hall today.

The initiative, aimed at bringing festive cheer to the most vulnerable members of the community, saw Hon. Jimu and his team handing out essential groceries to those in need. Speaking to Change Radio Zimbabwe, Hon. Jimu emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.

“This is just a small gesture of love and care for our brothers and sisters who are struggling to make ends meet,” Hon. Jimu said. “As a leader, it’s our duty to serve the people and ensure that everyone has a smile on their face, especially during this time of year.”

Hon. Jimu also spoke of his upcoming attendance at The Annual Charity Dinner today, where he will be contributing to the cause of supporting vulnerable communities.

“I will be attending The Annual Charity Dinner later today, where we will be raising funds and resources for those in need. I urge everyone to support this noble cause and let’s work together to make a difference in the lives of our fellow citizens,” he said.

The food hamper distribution was met with gratitude and appreciation from the recipients, who expressed their thanks to Hon. Jimu for his kindness and dedication to the community.

Hon. Jimu’s Harare Central Constituency encompasses parts of Kambuzuma, Warren Park, Rugare, Belvedere, Newlands, and the CBD, and this initiative is part of his ongoing efforts to support and uplift the community.
