President Chamisa stood at the podium, surrounded by thousands of citizens who had gathered in Chivi North on a somber day, the 17th of March 2024. The occasion was the burial of the late Mrs. Mukwende, a beloved member of the community who had touched many lives with her kindness and compassion.

As the funeral proceedings began, Mr. Mukwende, the grieving husband of the late Mrs. Mukwende, stepped forward and made a heartfelt request to President Chamisa to speak at the funeral. Recognizing the significance of the moment and the deep connection between the Mukwende family and the community, President Chamisa graciously accepted the request.
After accepting the invitation to speak, President Chamisa approached the podium. The air was heavy with grief, and the faces of the gathered citizens reflected the sadness that had befallen their community. President Chamisa began his speech by expressing his condolences to the Mukwende family and acknowledging the immense loss they were experiencing.
He spoke of Mrs. Mukwende’s unwavering spirit, her dedication to her family, and her tireless efforts in supporting her community. He emphasized the impact she had made on the lives of those around her, and how her legacy would continue to inspire the people of Chivi North for generations to come.
President Chamisa then turned his attention to Mr. Patrick Cheza, the aspiring member of parliament for Chirumanzu South in 2023, and the son-in-law of Mrs. Mukwende. He spoke of Mr. Cheza’s dedication to public service and his commitment to uplifting the lives of the people he represents in Chirumanzu South.
The crowd listened intently, their sorrow momentarily lifted by President Chamisa’s words of encouragement and hope. His charisma and ability to connect with the people were evident as he spoke, and the atmosphere gradually shifted from one of mourning to one of determination and unity.
President Chamisa concluded his speech by urging the citizens to honor Mrs. Mukwende’s memory by continuing her legacy of compassion, love, and community service. He reminded them that their strength lay in their unity, and encouraged them to work together towards a brighter future for Chivi North.
