In a significant development aimed at addressing the challenges faced by health workers in the United Kingdom [UK], Mr. Valentine Guruuswa, an esteemed academic and charity worker, has actively collaborated with Barbara Gwangwara-Tanyanyiwa, a prominent advocate for workers’ rights and renowned care worker, who formerly served as an official of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) and currently holds a senior staff position at Change Radio. Together, they have established the Pan African Workers Association (Pawa), a migrant-led organization dedicated to supporting African care workers, helping them understand their employment rights, and combating workplace exploitation.
