An international human rights inspectorate, The Carter Centre, has joined the AU, SADC, and other observer missions that observed the 23 August Elections in condemning the process.
They issued a comprehensive 43-page report, unveiling all irregularities that led to the conclusion that the election did not adequately respect Zimbabwe’s regional and international ommitments for democratic and inclusive elections, undermining contestants’ ability to compete on an equal basis and preventing the genuine expression of the will of the Zimbabwean people.
