As the number of CCC members seeking medication after tear gas rose to 31.
The number of Citizens Coalition for Change [CCC] members who were heavily affected by police tear gas smoke rose from 17 to 30 as of 10 pm.
They are being treated at one private hospital in Masvingo urban.
The attached video in this article shows an elderly woman, Mrs. Rosemary Chiwara, aged 60, who attended today’s presidential rally by President Nelson Chamisa in Masvingo urban.
The rally was held in Mamutse Stadium, where President Chamisa addressed over 45,000 CCC supporters.
In the attached video, Mrs. Chiwara, the mother of CCC council candidate for ward 2, Masvingo West, Ms. Shantel Yeukai Chiwara, narrated how tear gas affected her.
When police fired tear gas, she tried to run away but she fell down.
She was injured on her left leg, experienced chest pains, and had breathing problems.
I helped her stand up after she fell down and took her to the house (where she is standing) to wash her eyes with clean water.
Behind her (in the video), the people you see were affected by tear gas and were washing their faces with water from the tap.
In this video, a woman can be seen carrying her young child, who was also affected by tear gas from the police.
