During the cluster meeting in Mberengwa on Thursday, Advocate Nelson Chamisa, leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), expressed his frustration with the ruling party, Zanu PF, for constantly blaming him for their failures, even for the most ludicrous reasons.
President Chamisa, addressing the crowd, passionately stated, “ZANU-PF blames me for everything, even when it doesn’t rain, they say it’s Chamisa’s doing. When there are no tick chemicals, it’s Chamisa’s fault, and even when it gets cold like today (Thursday), they blame it on Chamisa.”
He highlighted that whenever the government faces challenges, they shift the blame towards him. Whether it is the struggling economy, or the soaring prices caused by their own flawed policies, they readily attribute it to Chamisa. Even the change in weather patterns and the unavailability of tick control chemicals become his fault according to Zanu PF’s narrative.
He responded to these baseless criticisms with a touch of sarcasm and confidence, stating that if he truly has such immense influence to warrant blame for everything, then perhaps Zanu PF should surrender the country to him. He displayed a firm belief in his ability to stabilize the economic and political situation if given the opportunity to lead.
As the country heads towards a crucial period with upcoming elections, Chamisa underscored the importance of the citizens’ right to choose what they believe is best for themselves and future generations. He encouraged people to exercise their democratic power through the ballot box, emphasizing that change can only be achieved by making informed decisions during the voting process.
