Mudonga was represented by advocate Mudisi.
The candidacy of Mudonga was disqualified by the Nomination Court.
However, Mudonga appealed against the disqualification at the High Court, and their request was granted.
In this case, the respondents were the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, Spencer Mgwagwa (presiding officer), and Simbarashe Mutemeri (Zanu PF Ward 4 aspiring candidate).
After the unlawful disqualification of CCC aspiring councillor Mudonga, Zanu PF members celebrated their uncontested victory in Zvishavane-Ngezi Ward 4.
Yesterday’s High Court judgment poured cold water on the enthusiasm of Zanu PF members.
