CCC President Nelson Chamisa has voiced his concerns regarding the current state of Zimbabwe’s economy, attributing it to the quality of leadership in the country. In his recent social media posts, President Chamisa emphasized the detrimental impact of bad politics on the nation’s economics. He further called for civil servants to be remunerated in US dollars, highlighting the urgency of addressing the issue.

President Chamisa expressed his belief that the condition of the economy reflects the competence and effectiveness of the country’s leadership. With soaring prices of essential goods and the rapidly depreciating value of the Zimbabwean dollar, the situation has become dire. Many economists argue that one of the contributing factors to this economic downturn is the printing of excessive money by the ZANU-PF government to fund their upcoming General Elections campaign.

In light of these challenges, President Chamisa and the CCC party,  have urged the citizens of Zimbabwe to consider giving them an opportunity in the upcoming general elections. He pledged to prioritize the resolution of the economic crisis, assuring the public that under his leadership, the economy will be revitalized and stabilized. The President’s message to the electorate was clear: by electing him and his party, they can collectively work towards fixing the current mess and bringing long-lasting economic prosperity to Zimbabwe.

President Chamisa concluded his statement by urging the government to pay workers a fair and decent wage in US dollars, recognizing the need for immediate action to address the deteriorating living standards faced by civil servants. His call for a chance to lead and tackle the economic challenges resonates with those who seek positive change and a brighter future for Zimbabwe
