Rusape Magistrate Court free CCC Six(6)

The Magistrate explained to Mr. David Tekeshe, MP for Makoni Central of the MDC-T Party, that it is not required by the Constitution for an MP to speak at every burial in a constituency, therefore missing out on the chance does not constitute a crime. Additionally, there were no MPs in our culture, but people still gathered to mourn their loved ones. He continued by saying that when R.G. Mugabe passed away, no MP spoke because it is not required by Zimbabwe’s Constitution. This came to light after the three witnesses who supported Mr. Tekeshe in this case told the court that the accused had not committed the alleged crime and that Mr. David Tekeshe had never been invited to speak on the program about these three funerals since they involved CCC members. These 6 prisoners—Lovemore Chifomboti, Teddy Chipere, Talent Hare, Norman Makahamadze, Alfred Mahaso, and F Majawa—were consequently acquitted. Sarkozy Defends Winky D

CCC youth taskforce spokesperson Stephen Sarkozy Chuma has condemned the harassment and victimisation of Winky D by Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration. According to Chuma, Winky D is the voice of suffering citizens. See below the CCC official’s argument: A ZANU PF shadowy outfit by the name EEG (whatever that means) are a danger to the ghetto. They want Winky D to be banned for singing about very issues affecting us everyday. @winkydonline is simply amplifying our voices in the ghetto. In 1977, Ian Douglas Smith banned Thomas Mapfumo songs and later on jailed him for 90 days. In...

CONFIRMED: Mnangagwa will fall in 2023

CCC youth spokesperson, Sarkozy Chuma brought us back to the days of Smith as he rebuke Mnangagwa’s move to ban Winky D from performing in Zimbabwe. Writing on twitter Chuma said “In 1977, Ian Douglas Smith banned Thomas Mapfumo songs and later on jailed him for 90 days. In 2023, ED Mnangagwa through EEG announce they intend to ban Winky D. Mapfumo was a voice of masses against colonialism. Winky D is a voice of citizens against corruption and poverty. History has taught us that those who go against popular culture and the masses will fall. Mnangagwa will fall in 2023!” Join our Private WhatsApp group. Zanupf destroying Talent in...

Zanupf destroying Talent in Zimbabwe

Opinion by Davis Laque Earlier in the day, news broke out that Holy10 had “apologized” for the ‘politicization’ of his trending song with Winky D My response to it, was a quotation from Chinua Achebe: “Whenever you see a toad jumping in broad daylight, then know that something is after its life”. Since the release of the song, much of the anger was coming from the usual vakarashi social media cluster of the ZanuPF party. Later in the day, a well known ZanuPF pressure group, #EEG, held a whole press conference castigating Winky D, & calling for the banning of his music. Sadly, it’s coming to light, that indeed, “…something is after the frog’s life”, as Chinua warned. It can’t be a conspiracy, that the young man was possibly threatened, & accused of picking a side. Put differently, “they” are accusing him of pushing a pro-opposition agenda. Embarrassingly, someone who is yet to listen to the song, will, judging from the ZanuPF anger, assume that Winky D actually sang a song praising Chamisa & America, also calling for an uprising to overthrow the Harare regime. Unsurprisingly, none of that actually happened. What Winky D has consistently spoken out against the many challenges citizens face, especially young people in the “ghetto”. Such is the role of art in any society. It only becomes “political” when that society is presided...
